Reverend Doctor Tom Bentum

   Pastor Tom Bentum has been serving Gray Memorial UMC since July 2009. He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and served 7 years in Lancaster and Jefferson, New Hampshire before coming to Caribou.  Before that he served in Fairfield, Maine for 10 years.

Pastor Tom grew up in Calais, Maine and graduated from high school there in 1976.  He went on to West Virginia Wesleyan College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1980. In 1987 he received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theologica Seminary and in 1994 his Doctor of Ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary. He work in campus ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Various capacities for 12 Years before becoming a pastor.

Pastor Tom's lives in Caribou with his wife and 3 children. His wife Deneane works at Cary Medical Center as a nurse. His three children are all currently in college; Peter attends Eastern Nazarene College, Hannah attends Gordon College and Rebekah attends St. John's College.
